BGCNW Elects New Vice President, Welcomes Three Members to its Board of Directors


Mount Kisco, NY – (November 8, 2011) – The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester (BGCNW) announces Todd Rockefeller will serve as Vice President of the Board of Directors. Also announced, Lisa Shrewsberry, James Aries and Robert Purvis will serve as board members.

Todd Rockefeller currently serves as a partner at DeRosa, Rockefeller, Sohigian & Werdal (DRSW) having been with the company since 1998. Rockefeller was President of the Westchester chapter of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of New York (IIABNY) and currently serves on the organizations board at the state level. He is also is a member of the Board of the Westchester-Putnam Boys Scouts of America. He currently lives in Ridgefield, CT with his family.

Lisa Shrewsberry is a partner at Traub, Lieberman, Straus & Shrewsberry, LLC. Shrewsberry has previously dedicated time to the Westchester County Bar Association, serving on their Committee on Professional Ethics. She serves as Secretary for the Professional Liability Underwriting Society, Eastern Chapter. Shrewsberry holds a J.D. from University of Connecticut School of Law. She resides in Bedford Corners with her husband and two children.

James Aries serves as Senior Vice President/Director of Acquisitions at Urstadt Biddle Properties, Inc. in Greenwich, CT. Previously, Aries held senior leasing positions with Bryant Development Corp. in Purchase, NY and Kin Properties Inc. in White Plains, NY. He holds a B.A. from Tufts University and a J.D. from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law. He is a current member of the NY State Bar Association and resides in Chappaqua with his wife, Debra and his two children.

Robert Purvis is Vice President of Customer Service at New York Blood Center, which includes responsibility for Hospital, Community and Public Relations. Prior to his work with the New York Blood Center, Purvis spent ten years at BloodCenter of Wisconsin as Vice President of Blood Services, overseeing blood service operations, materials management and purchasing. Rob is currently on the board of directors of the Foundation for America’s Blood Centers. He earned his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin and currently lives in Mount Kisco, NY.

About the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester

The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester was established in 1939 as a place for "boys to get off the streets". It is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring and enabling young people, especially those who need it most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Located in Mt. Kisco, NY, the 36,000-square-foot facility features an eight-lane pool, Child Care Center, gymnasium, game room, and two computer labs, and an additional 1,600-foot Teen Center facility. The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester serves 2,000 youths, boys and girls ages 6 months to 18 years, from more than 60 Northern Westchester communities.
