No Fumbles Here: Club's Super Bowl Phone-A-Thon Scores Record-Breaking Win

Mount Kisco, NY (February 5, 2008) – Board members, staff, and community volunteers engaged a different type of receiver at the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester's Super Bowl Phone-A-Thon. The thirteenth annual Phone-a-thon raised more than $57,000 for the Club's scholarship program.
Club Board Vice President and Phone-A-Thon Chair, Tom O'Brien, spurred the volunteers and Club board members as they worked side-by-side for an intensive three hours calling past donors, friends, and members' families.
"The Phone-A-Thon is one of the many ‘legacies' that Dave Feldman left behind. I am proud that we have taken it to new heights and look forward to continuing the tradition and building on our success in the coming years," said Mr. O'Brien. Feldman, often referred to as "Mr. Mount Kisco," was a former Mount Kisco Village Trustee and Vice President of the Club's board when he passed away suddenly at the age of 50.
Curtis Instruments of Mount Kisco hosted the event in their office space for the fourth consecutive year. Stuart Marwell, Curtis Instruments chairman and Club board member, said he is happy to lend his space to such a worthy cause.
Brian Skanes, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester, said the event's success can be attributed to the Club's many volunteers and supporters. "We want to express our heartfelt thanks to Tom O'Brien, Stuart Marwell, and everyone who contributed to the success of this event," he said.
The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester is located at 351 Main Street, Mount Kisco, NY and can be reached at (914) 666-8069 or www.bgcnw.com.
