Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester Announce Summer Programs - Skills & Drillz Basketball and Peak Performance Swim Camps Scheduled for August

Mount Kisco, NY (June 20, 2008) – This August, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester will offer summer camp programs in basketball and swimming to area youth at their Mt. Kisco facility. Nate Robinson, guard for the New York Knicks, will again host his annual Skillz & Drillz Youth Basketball Camp in the Club's gymnasium. This year's Peak Performance Swim Camp will be coached by 1992 Olympic Coach Nick Baker.

Nate Robinson's Skillz & Drillz Youth Basketball Camp
Local basketball coaches will instruct young hoopsters of all levels, focusing instruction on shooting, rebounding, ball handling, defense, and team building skills. Campers will receive certificates and a progress report from their team coach upon completion of the camp. All participants are eligible for daily awards and will receive a Nate Robinson camp t-shirt and autographed poster.

Two camp sessions take place August 18-20 and August 21-23. Camp registration is open to boys and girls ages 7-16 at the cost of $300 per camper per session. Camp hours are 9:30am to 3:30pm with lunch provided. Enrollment is limited. Deadline for registration is August 18. Peak Performance Swim Camp
Coach Baker will be assisted by a number of knowledgeable coaches to maintain a 10:1 swimmer to coach ratio. The day camp will take place August 18-22, with a group for swimmers ages 10 and younger and a group for swimmers ages 11 and older. Activities will include challenge sets, swimming yoga, and video presentations. Campers will receive exclusive Peak Performance Swim Camp kits and handbooks and will participate in the camp finale awards ceremony.

Camp registration is open to swimmers of all levels, ages 8 to 18. Camp hours for those 10 years-old and younger will be from 3:30pm to 6:00pm at the cost of $400 per camper. Swimmers ages 11 and older swim from 9:00am to 4:00pm at the cost of $850 per camper. For more information or to register, please contact Dennis Munson, Aquatic Director, at (914) 666-8069 ext. 115.
