Club Receives Educational Gifts of Learning Platforms and Books from LeapFrog
Mt. Kisco, NY (January 4, 2005) — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester received a donation of several thousand dollars worth of educational products from LeapFrog Enterprises Inc., a leading developer of technology-based learning products used in both homes and schools across the U.S. and the world.
The donation included both bilingual and Spanish language learning platforms and a variety of interactive books for Club members, aged three to seven, as part of LeapFrog's educational outreach to kids and their families. The Club currently serves more than 6,000 youths, including nearly 1,000 Hispanic members.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester Executive Director Brian Skanes said he is thrilled with the donation. "This is a tremendous opportunity to have our members learn while playing exciting and stimulating games," he said. "We are grateful to LeapFrog Enterprises for their generous donation that will serve Club members for many years to come."
"We are very pleased to donate to such a worthy organization and are proud to see our products help foster learning at the Boys & Girls Clubs," said Angelica Elizondo, LeapFrog's Senior Marketing Manager Spanish Markets.
