Boys and Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester Welcomes Christine Gelwicks to Its Board

Mount Kisco, New York (November 27, 2006) – Christine Gelwicks has been selected to join the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester. The appointment was announced today by Brian Skanes, Executive Director, Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester.

Ms. Gelwicks has served as co-chair of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester's Humanitarian gala for the past two years and is also a member of the Club's Tarrytown Advisory Board.

"Ms. Gelwicks is a true leader and has been instrumental in taking the Club's largest fundraising event to a new level," Skanes said. "She will be an invaluable member of the Board and we are delighted to welcome her."

Christine Gelwicks was previously a commodities trader on the floor of the New York Futures Exchange (Division of The New York Board of Trade) and left to raise her family in Northern Westchester. Christine has a BA in Political Science from Barnard College, Columbia University. She is an active member of the community and serves on the Board of Directors of Friends of John Jay Homestead.
