Club Hours
September 14, 2009 – June 18, 2010
Monday – Friday: 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Saturdays: Beginning September 19, 2009, the building will be open on Saturdays from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm for lessons only — there will be no drop-in activities.

 

General Policies

Membership
Membership runs from July 1 through June 30 and is open to all children up to age 18.

  • Membership Fee: $50 per child; $5 fee for lost cards.
  • Teen members may use volunteer hours to "pay" for their membership.
  • Pick up cards at the front desk.
  • All members MUST scan in at the front desk.

top of pageDrop Off Zone & Parking
The purpose of both the Drop Off Zone in front of the Boys & Girls Club building and the Parking Regulations is to ensure the safety of ALL our children.

Please abide by the following:

  • All vehicles MUST stop at the Stop sign.
  • Do not stop or park in the crosswalk in from of the Club.
  • Do not park in the Drop Off Zone or by the curbs in the driveway.
  • Handicap permits must be visible in the windshield.
  • Do not leave your car running or your children unattended while you enter the building.

Club House Rules

  • Treat others as you wish to be treated.
  • Remove head gear in the building.
  • Use appropriate language and physical contact.
  • No children under six years old are allowed in the Games Room, Computer Labs and Art Room.
  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Early Childhood Education Programs – September 8, 2009 to August 20, 2010
7:00 am and 8:00 am — Drop Off
9:00 am – 4:00 pm — Class
4:00 pm – 6:00 pm — Late Pick up

  • Classes are taught by Early Childhood Educators. We incorporate the Early Childhood Creative Curriculum. The program also includes a learn to swim program, developmentally appropriate classroom activities, a physical education program, music, and nap time.
  • The Before-School Care program includes breakfast. All children receive a mid-morning snack. Children receive a hot lunch provided by Mt. Kisco Nutrition Center.
  • After-School Care children receive a light snack.
  • Children must be 3-years or 4-years-old by December 1, 2009 and FULLY toilet trained.

The Boys & Girls Clubs Child Care Center is licensed by the State of New York Office of Children and Family Services.

After-School Fun Club
Grades K to 5 — Monday-Friday — 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Activities include:

  • Arts & Crafts
  • Gym
  • Power Hour Homework
  • Computer Lab
  • Games
  • Reading
  • Snacks
  • and more...

Includes:

  • 185 School Days
  • Superintendent Conference Days
  • Half Days
  • Vacation Weeks

The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester will transport children from Mt. Kisco Elementary School to the Club.

The Fun Club is registered with the NY State Office of Children and Family Services.

Grades K to 5 — Monday-Friday — 7:00 am to 8:30 am

Bedford Central School District will provide transportation to all of its elementary schools except Mt. Kisco Elementary School. The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester will transport children to Mt. Kisco Elementary School from the Club.


Teen Center

Middle School Students – Grades 6-8
Monday – Friday: 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm (Grade 6 & 7)
Monday – Friday: 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm (Grade 8)
Fee: $50 Membership

Middle school programs help develop self-esteem, teach young teens how to deal with peer pressure and encourage community service. Homework help, mentoring, gym programs, social recreation and cultural arts programs are also offered. Activities include:

  • Guidance Center — Individual Counseling, Tutoring, Mentoring
  • Torch Club — National Boys & Girls Clubs leadership programs
  • Boys2Men Program — Wednesday, 5:30pm (Young Men's Health Awareness)
  • Smart Girls Program — Wednesday, 5:30pm (Young Ladies Health Awareness Program)
  • Academic Power Hour
  • Recognition Programs
  • Friday Night Events — Dances and Movie Nights

Fee: $50 Membership

High School programs are designed to help foster young people's character, personal growth and leadership skills, and to encourage community service. A teen advisory group, the Keystone Club, helps staff plan and design programs and events, and exchange ideas. Activities include:

  • Guidance Center — College Counseling, Scholarship Opportunities
  • Liberty Keystone Club Leadership Program
  • Training, Volunteer and Community Service Opportunities
  • Junior Keystone Leadership Program
  • College Quest Program
  • Recognition Programs
  • Computer Lab
  • Friday Night Events — Rap Battles, Open Mic, Battle of the Bands
  • Club Service — Members and Alumni ages 17-24 earn money for college through internships at the Club.

For youths, ages 14-18, interested in volunteering at the Boys & Girls Club, you must attend an orientation session. Sessions are held on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm on the following dates:

EARLY SPRING 2010
SESSION III: FEBRUARY 1- MARCH 27
Mail In Registration ends January 23

SESSION IV: APRIL 5 - JUNE 19

  • All participants in Boys & Girls Club programs must be members of the Club.
  • There will be a $50 service charge for all checks returned.
  • A $25 Administration Fee will be charged for each change made after you register, including changing or withdrawal from class.
  • Schedules are subject to change.
  • Not responsible for typographical errors.
